Company Profile

Tradocs was co-founded in 2002 by Tony Duggan and Don Fuller. The driver for the development of the Tradocs solution was the clear gap in the market for a low cost electronic document solution. This was best illustrated by the low take up of solutions such as EDI due to cost and the increasing use of insecure email to send documents difficult to integrate into systems.

Tony had previously been responsible for the development and implementation of Europe's largest B2B e-document solution and Don had worked with companies such as Cisco and 3com on major projects to improve product scalability.

Initial prototypes of the solution were positively received. Feedback from potential customers enabled provision of the development framework for the Tradocs system.

In late 2003, the first customers started using Tradocs, initially in pilot projects. In July 2004, selected customers moved to fully live operations. The full market launch of Tradocs commenced in April 2005 with a user-base of over 10,000 companies. By this time, transaction values had already reached tens of £millions.
